Church Events

EASTER CELEBRATION: Come on Sunday, March 27 for our special Easter Celebration. You will enjoy our live band, special music, a thought-provoking drama sketch and a relevant message titled "CSI: The Empty Tomb." This will be one of the most exciting days of the year, make sure and invite all of your family and friends.

CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY: On Wednesday, March 2 at 7PM we will celebrate communion, have baptisms and hear Bible teaching from Pastor Rick. Childcare will be provided. Promiseland Kids will also meet during this time for worship, learning and fellowship. If you would like to be baptized, please fill out a request form and give it to one of the Pastors.

Ph2 ADVANCE COMMITMENT GATHERING: If you would like to make your Ph2 commitment before Commitment Sunday, March 20 you are invited to attend the Advance Commitment gathering on Sunday, March 13 at 7PM. GOOD FRIDAY SERVICE: Join us for a special service on Friday, March 25 at 7PM where we will celebrate communion, have a powerful drama and listen to music and a message focused on Jesus' passion.

BABY DEDICATION: If you would like to dedicate your baby on Sunday, March 13 please call the church office at 364.5000.

WEEKEND TO REMEMBER: Is your marriage everything you dreamed it would be? It can be even better! Make plans to attend the Weekend to Remember seminar held at the Omni Richmond Hotel on Friday, April 1 and Saturday, April 2. Steps to Growth Events

CHURCH 301: This class will be held on Sunday, March 20 at 6PM and is for anyone who has ever wondered what special gifts God has blessed them with. It's a chance to learn about unique spiritual gifts and how to use those gifts in serving others, as well as learn about the ministries of GACC. Sign up at the Information Center.

ALPHA COURSE: The Alpha Course at GACC will begin on Tuesday, March 29 with an introductory session and dinner. Alpha is a 10 week introduction to basic Christianity for seekers and new Christians. Invite your friends to come with you to the course. Dinner begins each week at 6:30PM. Sign up at the Alpha Table.

SMALL GROUP LEADERS RETREAT: This retreat will be held Friday, March 11 at 7PM through the afternoon of March 12 in Amelia County. All leaders and potential leaders should plan to attend as we envision the Small Group ministry. For more information call Pastor Randy at 364.5000.

HOSPITALITY AND CLEANING: Volunteers are urgently needed at GACC in the ministries of hospitality and cleaning. If you would like to serve in either of these ministries, please contact Pastor Randy at 364.5000.

VIDEOGRAPHY, LIGHTING, AND VIDEO PRODUCTION PEOPLE NEDED: The multimedia ministry is in immediate need of help. If you are gifted in any of these areas, or would like to learn more about them, please call Pastor Joey at 364.5000 to discuss how you can help.

MIDDLE SCHOOL YOUTH WORKERS NEEDED: If you would like to be a youth worker with the middle schoolers in Student Impact, please call Pastor Joey at 364.5000.

DRAMA MINISTRY: Actors and creative writer are urgently needed in the Drama Ministry. If you would like to be a part of the Drama Team please call Pastor Joey at 364.5000.

 

Men's Events

MEN'S MEETING: Held every 2 weeks. Please contact Matt Lanzer for more information. 364.2613.

MEN'S SOFTBALL: The GACC Men's Softball Team is looking for players. Games during the season are played on Friday evenings with pre-season practices on Saturday afternoons at 2PM. There us a registration fee. Games begin in March. Sign up at the Information Center. If you are interested contact Jay Toro at 262.0493.

MEN'S BIBLE STUDY: On Saturday, March 19 at 8AM men can come out to GACC and enjoy a continental breakfast and Bible study in Classroom 6. The study is entitled "Measure of a Man" and will continue on the third Saturday of each month throughout the year.

Women's Ministry

WIRED WOMEN'S MINISTRY: This spring is going to be packed with fantastic opportunities for the women of GACC to get to know each other better...including the walking and running group, the 'WIRED reCONNECTS' brunch (as a follow-up to our retreat), the start of our WIRED Prayer Circuit and our spring Bible Study! Helping Hands

H.I.M. MINISTRY: The purpose of High Impact Meals (H.I.M.) is to reach out and serve others by offering meals and help during times of illness, bereavement, birth and other unique situations. If you would be willing to help or if you need any help please call Gloria Titus at 501.2316 or contact the Church office.

HELPING HANDS PRAYER AND PLANNING MEETING: A Prayer and Planning Meeting will be held on Monday, March 21 at 7PM at Mark Dioszeghy's house. For directions or more information call Mark at 762.9257.

FEEDING THE HOMELESS: On Wednesday, March 16 at 5:45PM we will meet at the church to go to the Freedom House shelter. We need people to deliver a dish and help serve the meal. Sign up at the Information Center. Contact Sandy Grady at 467.5734 for more information.

HIM APPRECIATION BRUNCH: For those who have served in the High Impact Meals ministry or those who are interested in serving you are invited to attend the HIM Appreciation Brunch. WORK DAY: A lot of company is coming for Easter and we need to shine. We will spring clean the building and grounds from top to bottom. Come and serve so others can be served on Easter Sunday. We need everyone to do their part on Saturday, March 19 from 9AM until 12 noon.

 

 

 

 


YOUTH EVENTS

STUDENT IMPACT MEETINGS: Meeting every Wednesday from 7-8:30 PM: Come and fellowship with the youth at the church. Remember to bring a friend! What do we do during our Wednesday night meetings? Play games, enjoy some music, then split into our groups (6-8 grade & 9-12 grade) for a Bible study.

OZ NIGHT OPEN HOUSE: High School students come out and join us for the Oz Night's open house on Saturday, March 19 at 7PM. You will get to experience some of what we have in store for you during Oz Nights (our new Wednesday night lineup). During the night you will get to play video games, listen to music, participate in worship and eat dinner.

EXPERIENCE THE PASSION: Wednesday, March 23 from 7-8:30PM the youth grades6-12 are invited to an innovative worship experience. Teens will walk through several interactive stations that will allow them to gain an understanding of the significant and the necessity of the crucifixion of Christ.

SKI TRIP AT WINTERGREEN: We'll be hitting the slopes for a bit of skiing and tubing. We'll leave from the church at 7AM on Saturday, March 12 and be back to the church by 6PM the same day. Cost of the trip is $45 to snowboard and $22 for 2 hours of tubing. Money and waivers are due by Wednesday, February 23. Pick up your ski trip flier at the Student Impact kiosk. OZ NIGHT: Wednesday, March 30 from 7-8:30PM will be a very special evening planned for High School students. Sure to be fast - paced, energetic, and creative, it is the perfect night to invite friends.

 

 

Promise Land Children's Ministries

PROMISELAND PRESCHOOL & MOM'S MORNING OUT: It's hard to believe that it's already time to start thinking about enrolling your child in Preschool for the fall! We're having a great year in Promiseland Preschool and are looking forward to another wonderful year in 2005-2006. Tell your family, friends, and neighbors about the exciting educational opportunities for children from 6 months old through pre-kindergarten. MOM'S CLUB: Join this group of fun and fellowship with and without the kids. Events include: Play date on Tuesday, March 8 at Lisa Loudermilk's house at 9:30AM; an Easter Egg Hunt and play date on Wednesday, March 23 at Kenna Glick's house at 10AM; Stamp it Up (for moms) only on Tuesday, March 22 at 7PM in classroom 5. MOPS (MOTHERS OF PRESCHOOLERS): MOPS is back on a regular schedule this month! We will meet on Monday, March 14 and Monday, March 28 from 7-9PM in classroom 6. All moms of children birth - 6 are welcome. Call Cara Elmore for more information at 559.2506.

MUSIC TOGETHER SPRING SESSION: Music Together is a popular early childhood music and movement class for children (birth to four years old) and their parents.
